Project overview
Mould remediation following prolonged water ingress from a failed roof. Due to the occupants being highly sensitive to mould, the works were completed using Medically Important Remediation principles.
The project focused on safe removal, cross-contamination control and evidence-led verification after roof-related water damage had allowed mould contamination to develop.

Our approach
A full containment was installed with HEPA air filtration to protect the rest of the property during the removal works.
The remediation was planned around occupant sensitivity, with the work area isolated and managed to reduce the risk of airborne spread during strip-out and cleaning.
What we did
Mould-contaminated plasterboard and insulation were safely removed before the exposed structural timbers were professionally remediated.
The area was HEPA vacuumed and cleaned to remove remaining settled particles and prepare the space for post-remediation verification.
Surface swab testing was then carried out to verify the condition of the remediated area.
The result
The area achieved Condition 1, Normal Fungal Ecology, in accordance with the principles of the IICRC S520 Standard.
The completed works provided a verified remediation outcome while prioritising occupant health and protecting unaffected areas of the property.
