Remediation for London properties
From Victorian terraces in Camden and Islington to converted flats in Hackney and family homes in Wandsworth, mould can be fed by very different moisture problems. Our London remediation service starts by checking for leaks, condensation, inadequate extraction and cold surfaces so the treatment addresses the property rather than just the stain.
We assess the affected materials before agreeing a scope of work. Where contamination cannot be effectively cleaned, removal may be needed. Retained surfaces are mechanically cleaned, with containment and HEPA cleaning used where appropriate to limit the spread of contamination into other rooms.
In London flats, access, shared hallways and neighbouring homes all matter. We explain how the work will be organised and what needs to be repaired before or alongside remediation. A leaking pipe, defective roof or poorly performing extractor must not be overlooked simply because the visible mould has gone.
For landlords and housing teams managing rented homes in boroughs such as Lambeth, Southwark and Tower Hamlets, prompt investigation and a record of the action taken are important. Awaab’s Law places duties on social landlords in England to respond to relevant hazards within prescribed timescales. Remediation can form part of that response, but does not replace the landlord’s wider legal obligations.
If mould has returned after previous treatment, tell us where it is growing and what has already been tried. We will help you establish whether a survey, targeted remediation or further investigation is the right next step for your London property.
