Epping North, Essex

Project overview
Specialist mould remediation following a roof leak affecting a high-level ceiling void.
Due to the height of the work area, a bespoke containment enclosure was constructed on scaffolding to provide safe access while preventing the spread of mould contamination to the occupied parts of the property.

Our approach
A scaffolded containment enclosure was built around the high-level ceiling void, allowing the team to work safely while keeping the affected area isolated from occupied parts of the property.
HEPA air filtration was used throughout the project, allowing contaminated materials to be removed under controlled conditions.
What we did
Contaminated materials were removed from the high-level work area while containment and filtration protected the rest of the property.
Exposed structural timbers were professionally remediated before the area received a detailed HEPA clean.
Post-remediation surface swab testing was then carried out to verify the condition of the remediated area.
The result
The works were successfully completed with the area returned to Condition 1, Normal Fungal Ecology, in accordance with the principles of the IICRC S520 Standard.
The completed project provided safe high-level remediation, controlled contamination risk and verified post-remediation results.
