What this service includes

Older properties undergoing remediation or refurbishment sometimes turn up asbestos-containing materials that fall into the non-licensable category — meaning they can be safely removed by a trained team following the correct control measures, without requiring a licensed asbestos contractor. When this comes up during one of our projects, we’re able to handle it directly rather than pausing work to bring someone else in.

Removal follows the required control measures for non-licensable work, including appropriate containment and disposal procedures, so the material is dealt with safely and in line with the relevant regulations throughout.

Keeping this within the existing project team means less disruption and fewer delays than coordinating a separate contractor mid-job — particularly relevant on refurbishment projects where asbestos-containing materials are identified partway through, and the wider works are already under way.

This service isn’t typically instructed on its own; it comes up as part of a remediation or refurbishment project where it’s needed. If asbestos has been flagged as a concern on a property you’re working on, it’s worth raising with us at the scoping stage rather than after work has started.
