Remediation isn’t complete just because the mould is no longer visible. PRV independently confirms the space has actually returned to a normal fungal ecology.

What this service includes

Post-Remediation Verification is the final check that confirms remediation has actually done what it was supposed to — not just visually, but at the level that matters for occupant health. Under the IICRC S520 Standard, a successfully remediated space should return to Condition 1, or Normal Fungal Ecology, meaning fungal presence at or below what would be expected in a clean, unaffected environment.

We confirm that through visual inspection and, where required, surface swab testing sent for laboratory analysis. This isn’t a quick look around the room — it’s a structured check against the specific conditions the remediation was meant to address, so any area that hasn’t fully cleared gets flagged before the job is signed off rather than after.

PRV is particularly useful when remediation was carried out by a different contractor, when an insurer or landlord needs documented confirmation before releasing funds or re-letting a property, or simply when you want independent reassurance that the job’s actually done. Because the verification is separate from the remediation itself, it carries more weight than a contractor confirming their own work.

If you’ve had remediation carried out and want it properly checked and documented, or you’re managing a property and need sign-off before moving on, this service closes that loop.
