What this service includes
“Don’t Spray. Take It Away.” is the principle behind everything we do on a standard remediation job. Fungicidal sprays and bleach can lighten the visible staining, but they don’t remove the mould’s food source or root structure, which is why so many households find the same patch reappearing within weeks or months of a DIY clean.
Our process is built to break that cycle by removing the contamination physically, not chemically.
Every job starts with identifying what’s actually driving the growth — a leak, condensation, poor ventilation, or a cold bridge — because remediation without addressing the cause is only ever a temporary fix. Once the source is understood, affected materials are removed following IICRC S520 principles, and any exposed surfaces are mechanically cleaned rather than sprayed over.
Where the situation calls for it, we’ll set up containment to stop spores spreading to unaffected rooms during the works, and finish with a HEPA clean of the area. For most residential jobs this can be done efficiently without disrupting the rest of the property, and we’ll always explain what’s needed and why before starting.
This is our most commonly requested service, and it covers the vast majority of household mould issues — from a single damp corner to a more established infestation across a room. If you’re not sure whether your situation needs something more specialist, this is the right place to start.
