What this service includes

Air and surface sampling answers a question a visual inspection can’t: what’s actually present, and at what level. Air samples identify airborne mould spore counts, which matters when occupants are experiencing symptoms but there’s no obvious visible growth, or when you need to establish a baseline before and after works. Surface samples confirm what species and concentration of contamination is present on a specific material or area.

Samples are collected on-site using standard testing protocols and sent to a laboratory for analysis, rather than assessed visually or with a moisture meter alone — which means the results carry weight in contexts where you need documented evidence, not just a technician’s opinion. That makes this service particularly relevant for insurance claims, legal disputes, and any situation where a third party will be reviewing the findings.

Testing also plays a direct role in confirming remediation has actually worked. Post-remediation verification relies on surface swabbing to confirm a space has returned to Condition 1, or Normal Fungal Ecology, under the IICRC S520 Standard — without that step, “remediation complete” is really just an assumption based on how the area looks.

We can build sampling into a survey, a remediation project, or run it as a standalone service if you already know what you’re dealing with and just need it documented properly.
